[Among the Lines] The King 2Hearts: Does Bong Gu = Hitler?

[SPOILER ALERT]

Different with previous post, this one never made appearance as comment in dramabeans thread.

Though the title is about Hitler, but this post more likely discussing Bong Gu as a mortal enemy for every war in the world, and particularly about South and North Korea.

Bong Gu is a definitely an enemy character, he is megalomaniac, even the smallest thing could be his motivation to kill somebody. Let’s break it down:
1. He kill Jae Kang and Queen because Jae Kang forbid him enter South Korea
2. He put Jae Ha as mortal enemy, because Jae Ha insult him with calling his ‘real name’, and later because Jae Ha make his girlfriend belittling him
3. He grieve for Hang Ah and slaps her, because Hang Ah also call him Kim Bong Gu to insult him
 4. He KILL Shi Kyung, because: 1. Shi Kyung betray him, 2. Because if he can’t get Shi Kyung, neither do anyone else.

and who can forget this scene?

He is little hitler, note that Korea was separated after WW II. WW II is actually the result of axis formed by Hitler, Mussolini and Hirohito (axis of WW II), and Hitler is the greatest among all, though it’s after Japanese imperial that Korea separate, but it’s his ideology which divide Korea.

At first, I think he is a portrayal for HITLER. Why? Continue reading

[Read Behind The Lines] The King 2Hearts: Jae Shin and the Valkyrie

Only read this after you’ve watched The King 2hearts episode 17, because this is explanation (and assumption).

Originally, this post is my comment in dramabeans comment thread, but since the comments piling up, I move this here to ease to read, and add some pic, but the information mostly the same.

Most of us must be remember when we were wondering what had BonBon do to Jae Shin. Probably even until the extent of guessing lots of terrible things, iclude r*pe, abuse, humility and else, but tracing back, the writer had given us a very CLEAR clue, but apparently none of us realize it.

The clue it self is “Ride of Valkryes”, Bong Gu’s favorite piece, also the song which trigger Jae Shin’s panic attack. Is it just because the song played when the ‘incident’ happened? I don’t think so…. I believe it is well planned, by Bong Gu.

Let’s back track, what is Ride of Valkyries? Continue reading

Does Running Man a Number One Sunday Variety Show in South Korea?

My answer: Meh…

Running Man

This is my first time to post something outside ‘fun’ in this beloved blog. You know, I love peace, really, but somehow these facts keep bugging me so I decide to write some of it off.

Particularly, this post was triggered by some groundless article in soompi, -soompi, my dear soompi who usually goes non biased and become my trustful source- that made statement as below:

  1. Running Man is back on the top
  2. Now, “Running Man” is the number one variety show on Sundays

Full article

Okay, so for THESE groundless statement, I declare that those two statement is wrong!

First, in term of rating, Running Man NEVER going on the top before! So there is no need to give emphasis for BACK, even more ON THE TOP, since it, until I wrote this post, never happened.

Second, and this is what this post talk along the page, to said Running Man is the number one show in sunday is obviously premature. The statement for sure is groundless, Nothing can prove that RM is number one show, not even rating nor critics said so, it just the author of the article. For example, when the author said RM is number one, should I tell you that RM achieve 13% point etc while, the ‘previous number ONE variety show’ 1 night 2 Days just get 25% point blah blah? Double checking, I’m obviously sure that there is percentage behind the number, so does getting half percentage of 1N2D viewers make you number one variety Show?

In term of quality? Don’t joke! 1 Night 2 Days might be not as popular as Running Man internationally, but this show, along as the member and some staff’s name is a household knowledge in South Korea. This is the show that not only survive for years, or just leading the rating, this show Continue reading

Happy Birthday Lee Seung Gi!: Analyze Lee Seung Gi Evolution

Today is January 13th 2011, which is the most important date for all AIREN in the world ^_^ (me included).

Well since it’s our favorite’s star birthday,  most of us already celebrating it by our own way, and for me this is the way:  I’d like to summarize the change and improvement of this all around entertainer (previously I intend to put metamorphose as the title, but since metamorphose impression is something bad turn into something good-and as all of you know that he is good since start-, I’m erasing that and change it into evolution –tough it’s reminding me for that suck DBE).

Here there are a glimpse of his “EVOLUTION”

Music:Who would guess this little rocker would turn out being a ballader whose get the title of Digital Single King?

From a boy who love the older woman (noona, You’re my Woman) into a man who confess his feeling (From Now on I Love You).

No need long description for this. The huge shift from rock into ballad (or rather from husky powerful vocal into fine voice) has turn out smoothly. Thank you very much for Lee Sun Hee who discovered, and training him for years, resulting his husky voice become something totally charming with extra ordinary technique, totally love the feels that he always hinted on each song.

Appearance: From a boy into a man

I took those photos as example, since they are took by the same man, it should rule out one bias at least, isn’t it?

In his very 1st photo, he was holding baby as a teenage big brother. Wrapping hands tightly all around the baby, for me this pose was giving impression like he was afraid to accidentally dropping the baby, more over he just giving us a slight (or rather, hinted) smile (but that’s photo is totally good, as we can see the face was not the annoyed face that Joon Ji Hoon made).

In 2009, he bloomed a relaxed attitude, smiling wider and held the baby steadily within his arms, and giving us the familiarity feeling of the baby and Lee Seung Gi himself. You’ll find this photo more exciting, if you had watched the video of Behind The Scene, check it in LSGfan.

In 2010, we see him as a young father with his baby (^^), his smile is wider, relaxer attitude, and the arms was guiding the baby gently. Practices really made perfect right? But through these photos we can see, This boy surely has grown up, he had trough evolution into a man. (I know my comments like an anti here but I really need to show the difference!)

Style: ‘Cool’ versus charming

In the first photo we see Lee Seung Gi try to act Continue reading

Hong Sister

Before I get going on my promise before about My Girlfriend is Gumiho (Which I get hooked on because Lee Seung Gi) I think I should introduce the writers of the series: Hong Jeong Eun and Hong Mi Ran or best known as Hong Sister. I gotta give some review for their works.

My first encounter with the duet’s work is Delightful Girl Choon Hyang, which broadcasted in my country as Sassy Girl Chun-Hyang. The show totally won my heart at that time. It’s fresh and full of little surprise even gotta messy at the end of series. And to be honest, that is my first time to liking a hero better than heroine. Lee Mong Ryong’s character (Played so nice by Jae Hee) feels fresh and delightful, while I pointed that Chun Hyang’s character (casted by the Korean Barbie: Han Chae Young) is too boring. That is their first work of series so..yeah you may accept it. Further more, I watch almost all of their creation except Hong Gil Dong and Accidental Couple (ironic, since both series don’t follow the typical that I’m gonna share-taken from other reviews, which I believe will break my opinion). As mentioned above, I’ve found some typical of their works which I listed below (and by these I mean Delightful Girl Choon-Hyang, My Girl, You’re Beautiful and My Girlfriend is Gumiho):
